Howard Phillips Lovecraft. August 20, 1890 – March 15, 1937

Since I was little, Howard Phillips Lovecraft was one of my favourite writers. Although I didn't read any book of his in those years, I was completely in love with that man. He was like, my well-known writter. Everything about Cthulhu and his multiverses were pretty interesant for me, and I couldn't wait to buy one of his books and read it, although I was too little to understand them. He's always been my "writter-idol", we could say.

And then, my mum bought me one of his books. "The Dunwich Horror". I was completely amazed and couldn't wait to read it...but I was too little. Too little. And didn't read it. And lost it.

Years after I saw a comic book called "El Joven Lovecraft" ("Young Lovecraft") in a store, and just couldn't wait to buy it, although I never did. I was pretty excited with the idea someone made a comicbook from my idol in that time.

And about two days ago, I found my book again, on one of my shelves. I remembered what I felt for Lovecraft when little, and decided to read it. I took it at 21:30 p.m. more or less.

I wasn't able to stop reading until I finished it.

I wasn't able.

It never happened to me before, not in THAT way.

I finished the book, and loved it. Next day I went to school with it, maybe to read it again, but probably to draw the creature that was in it.

And nobody in my school knew who Lovecraft was. Nobody.

And I get damn, damn upset.

Then I talked to few friends about it.

Some of them were as upset as I was.

Some of them didn't know who he was neither.

To who don't know who he is, I've to say - you don't know what you're missing. Take one of his books. They're short. Read it. It's like magic.

I just couldn't help but make a "Tribute" to this man, the man who gave me dreams and lots, lots of curiosity when little. Thank you, Howard.

To Lovecraft-dicts - let's see if you can guess who the 4 monsters are~ one of them's damn obvious xD
